Dressing
The Cathedral is a consecrated place. We kindly ask our visitors to respect this with their behavior and clothing! Do not enter church in skirts or shorts that do not cover the knee, or in sleeveless T-shirts.
How to walk around in the Cathedral?
Please note that the crypt can only be reached by stairs. The Treasury on the first floor and the Panorama View-Hall on the second floor can be reached by climbing 60 or 120 steps, or by elevator. The Dome-Lookout can only be reached on foot: you have to climb 400 steps.
Please do not bring large luggage or strollers into the exhibition halls!
During ceremonies, access to the Treasury, the Panorama Hall and the Dome Lookout Tower is via the south staircase of the main cathedral.
In case of bad weather, the Dome Lookout Tower cannot be visited. In connection with this, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that weather conditions are constantly monitored by the staff serving in the Dome. It is their sole right to decide whether or not to allow visits to the Dome Lookout, as the atmospheric conditions up there are often very different from those on the "ground". For this reason, we ask for your understanding!
To enter the church by wheelchair, you can request the opening of the entrance by phone at +36-33/402-354 or from our staff serving in the church.
