After 1 March 2016, tour guides to the Treasury must hold a license issued by the cathedral.

The Basilica is primarily a church, so the liturgical space will be closed for tourists 30 -45 minutes before Mass
During services visitors are allowed to enter the Treasury,
the Panorama Hall and the Dome through King's Gate on the west side of the Cathedral.
